Team A has odds of -150 and Team B has odds of +120. If team a wins and you bet $150 then you will win $100. On the other hand, if team b won, and you bet $100, you will win $120.
Meaning that Team A is the favorite to win, the casino gives you more risk to take and make bet on them and Team B is the underdogs, the casino will give you some incentives to give you a reason to pick and bet on the underdog
Over/Under bet
You will need to bet on usually the combined score of both team. This basically gives the bettor to have 50/50 chance of winning the bet.
Example
Team A has the score of 99 and Team B has the score of 102, final score combined is 201.
To win you have to bet of Over 199.5 or you will lose if your bet is Under 199.5.
Point Spreads
You will need to bet on who will win depending on the point spread or on other words, plus or minus the score depending on who is the favored and who is the underdog.
Example
Team A is the favorite to win the game; they are given with -5.5 point spread.
Team B is the underdog; they are given with +5.5 point spread.
Team A has the final score of 105 and Team B has the final score of 99.
In that case, if you picked Team A; they will end up with the score of 99.5 (105 – 5.5 point spread) versus the score of team B with 99. Then you win by .5 point.
On the other hand, if you picked Team B; they will end up with the score of 104.5 (99 + 5.5 point spread) versus the score of team A with 105. Then you are still short of .5 point to win the bet.
The concept of having point spread is basically to give the two teams the equal chance to win the game.
Future bets
Basically you are betting on who will win the whole tournament or event before the start or prior to that tournament or event.
